My name is Yukiko Gilbert and I am from Katsuura, Japan. I received my BA in English Literature from Jissen Women’s University in Tokyo, Japan and at the same time, I acquired a high school teacher’s certificate for English. After I moved to Tuscaloosa in 1987, I started my career as a translator/interpreter at a Japanese owned company. For the last 27 years, I have worked at the company as a Japanese / English bilingual executive assistant.
