Jennifer Kuyrkendall

My name is Jennifer Kuyrkendall and I am originally from Baton Rouge, Louisiana. I have been using American Sign Language (ASL) since I was nine months old and have been closely involved in the Deaf community for over 30 years. I am a nationally certified interpreter, working in the ASL-English interpreting field since 2005. I currently work full time as a Mental Health Interpreter with the Alabama Department of Mental Health in Tuscaloosa, Alabama.

I started teaching community American Sign Language classes in 2010 at Louisiana School for the Deaf and have completed several ASL Linguistics courses from William Woods University and Troy University. I look forward to working with others to better understand ASL and Deaf Culture.
